I'm sure they treasure this speech and memory like they cherish you. You are a wonderful storyteller. When you spoke, I was with you. I thought of the admiration and love I have for my own dearest friends - how they have been heroes in my own story. It was such a beautiful thing to watch you remember. I found myself wondering, what are the affecting stories they would tell you about you? I see that you and your friend have given the greatest gift, yourselves, to one another.

Gay friends are not BETTER friends. They're just friends like anyone else. There was no need to say "gay friend." Why do you have to exploit the gay angle to make you seem like a more virtuous person? It's like saying, "my Jewish friend," or "my albino friend." It's corny and silly. Also, you're not supposed to get laughs at a eulogy. This guy thinks he's a Las Vegas lounge act. Death is sad -- nothing to laugh about. Why is everyone so corny?
